FTC Wins Two ABC Excellence Awards

On Thursday, September 14, 2023 ABC Chesapeake Shores presented two Excellence Awards to Ferguson Trenching Company at the annual ABC Excellence in Construction Awards banquet at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve in Hanover, MD.

The ABC Excellence in Construction Awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding projects built by ABC Chesapeake Shores’ members. The awards competition serves to raise the construction standards throughout the industry by honoring quality craftsmanship produced by merit shop contractors and their employees. Ferguson Trenching went through a rigorous submission process compiling safety information, project scope and narrative to include unique aspects and challenges, job photographs, specialized trainings, and more.

We’re proud to announce that our Civil Division won an Excellence Award for their work completed at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center Green Village Site Infrastructure project in Edgewater, MD. Our team submitted and won under the Federal Government/Military less than $10 Million category. Foreman Denny Shaw accepted this award at the banquet.

Southern MD Gas Operations won an Excellence Award for the South Lakes Subdivision Gas Distribution System in Upper Marlboro, MD. Our team won in the Specialty Construction – Commercial, $500,000 to $2 Million category. FTC Job Site Coordinators Ronnie Williamson Jr. and Sid Thomas accepted the award.
