Forest Drive Gas Reinforcement Project

Forest Drive: Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) safely and reliably deliver gas to more than 655,000 customers in central Maryland. BGE’s STRIDE plan supports accelerated modernization of BGE’s natural gas distribution system to enhance safety and reliability. As part of BGE’s ongoing effort to maintain safe and reliable energy delivery systems, Ferguson Trenching Co., Inc. was awarded a contract in January 2015 to upgrade a gas main along Forest Drive between Greenbriar Lane and Spa Road. Our crews are installing approximately 4,550 linear feet of 8”, ¼” wall, wrapped HP steel pipe. In order to minimize the impact on the surrounding community and normal traffic patterns, the construction is taking place during overnight hours.
