Started by brothers Stanley and Steve Ferguson, Ferguson Trenching Company is truly a family affair. From the time they were teenagers, Stanley and Steve’s sons, Jeff Ferguson, Kevin Ferguson and Randy Gambrill, were involved in learning every aspect of the company, from the ground up. Today the company provides a full range of construction services for private developers, counties, municipalities and state and government agencies.
Brothers Stanley and Stephen Ferguson teamed up to co-found Ferguson Trenching Company. Through hard work and determination, they achieved the American Dream, building a successful underground utility company that they could pass on to their children.
Founded as a partnership in 1966 and officially incorporated in June of 1970 by Stanley Ferguson and Stephen Ferguson.
In 1988, Ferguson Trenching started a directional boring division. We were one of the first contractors in the area to perform directional boring at the time.
With over 200 employees and 200 pieces of equipment/trucks we needed more room. Enter the current home of Ferguson Trenching Company at 1405 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD.
The company expanded to include FTC Aggregate Supply, which operates as a service to the construction industry.
Shortly after Stanley Ferguson passed away in July of 2007, Jeff Ferguson became President of Ferguson Trenching. Kevin Ferguson became Vice President and Randy Gambrill became Secretary/Treasurer of the company. Steve Ferguson continues to serve as Vice President of Ferguson Trenching Company.
